This project includes design for a new middle school to replace an outdated and undersized facility originally built in 1954. The phased project includes limited modifications to Garrett Academy to be used as a swing space for 2 years during demolition of the existing school and construction of the new facility. The new middle school is being designed for a core population of 900 students. The school will provide instructional classrooms band/chorus rooms, science labs, state-of-the-art media center, cafeteria, gymnasium; locker rooms; administrative office and support spaces.
